乙二醇丁醚，也叫防白水，是一种有机化合物，化学式C6H14O2，为无色透明液体，溶于水、丙酮、苯、乙醚、甲醇、四氯化碳等有机溶剂和矿物油，主要用作油漆特别是硝基喷漆、快干漆、清漆、搪瓷和脱漆剂的高沸点溶剂，也用作胶黏剂非活性稀释剂、金属洗涤剂、脱漆剂、纤维润湿剂、农药分散剂、药物萃取剂、树脂增塑剂。
